Madeeha Maham - Author | Artist | Architectural Designer
With a BA (Hons) and Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture, alongside a background in Fine Arts, Madeeha Maham brings together structure, creativity, and meaning in all her work. As the author and artist behind A Debt of Love — a book that honours and thanks our parents through art — her work explores themes of gratitude, faith, and human connection. It has been shared in schools, libraries, and community town halls. Through her book A Debt of Love, she invites readers of all ages to pause and reflect on gratitude, compassion, and the timeless value of familial love and appreciation.
Her artwork has also been exhibited in art galleries in Glasgow. Inspired by the iconic designs of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, it has been laser-cut and handmade, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques. Alongside her artistic and literary pursuits, she has worked within the architectural field, contributing to Underground station design projects with Transport for London (TfL), where she liaised with contractors, engineers, and architects to bring complex design concepts to life. Her professional journey also includes collaborations with various architectural firms, where she refined her skills in balance, geometry, CAD, and digital art, merging creativity with technical precision.
In architecture, she learned to design spaces with order and harmony; as an artist, she conveys emotion and meaning through visual form; and as an author, she gives voice to both. Her inspiration often comes from nature — studying the behaviour, anatomy, and systems of birds and insects — as well as from human psychology and behavioural mapping, to better understand how we think, feel, and act. Guided by a deep sense of ethics and faith, she strives to create a harmony between behaviour, thought, feeling, and belief. Beyond her creative practice, she is deeply committed to community service — from organising charity events and fundraisers through baking, to participating in tree-planting initiatives that nurture both people and the planet. Whether through art, writing, or action, her work seeks to build connections, celebrate gratitude, and encourage compassion and care for others and the environment.
Whether through art, writing, or action, her work seeks to build connections, celebrate gratitude, and encourage compassion and care for others and the environment. She continues to expand her creative practice through new publications and visual projects that explore the intersections of faith, art, and human experience.
